Response: The First Prompt
Title: Forgiven
Rating: K+
Characters: Yuki/Neal
Not really fluffy, just having a little fun with the hints that Neal wrote horrible poetry way back when.

This should be fun, she thought as she picked up a green book, wondering where Neal could be. She finally found Neal at the practice courts, practicing drill with his friend Merric.

"Why did I find THIS in your room?" Yuki asked teasingly. Since they had become bethrothed, she had begun to use her Yamani mask less. In her hand was a little book. Neal gulped.

"Can we go elsewhere?" He asked pleadingly.

"You've been around Kel too much," he grumbled. "It's a little book of-of poetry I kept when I was a page, and a squire." His cheeks were red, and Merric was grinning - he obviously knew what he had written in there.

"May I?" she said politely, and proceeded to read aloud one poem.

"On her horse,
with her lance
held high,
a look of
determination on
her face,
with lightning
she looks
like nothing
I've ever seen
her hazel eyes
showing a passion,
a fire that makes
her alive,
and it makes me
want her so much."

By this time, Merric was barely keeping back his laughter, and Neal was looking down to try to hide his blush.

"That's from a long time ago. I'm over it now." He muttered. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry? Why should you be? You just gave me the best joke of my life!" Yuki was smiling, which for her meant inside she was laughing her head off.

"Why, thanks. Can I return to practicing, now?" Neal was smiling.

"Of course. I'll see you later," she said with a twinkle in her eye.

He was relieved she wasn't mad. It confirmed that he loved her, and that she loved him back, and he was grinning by the time he was back with his sword.

Aw, that's adorable! I like the inclusion of Merric - he's always been one of my favorites.
